6 Music Live

Steve Lamacq presents from Maida Vale studios for 6 Music Live, including a 40-minute set from Super Furry Animals.

Steve presents a very special programme from the Maida Vale studios, as part of 6 Music Live, with The Super Furry Animals, as the Welsh wonders perform a special 40 minute greatest hits set.
Now twenty three years into a glorious career, SFA promise to bring their dazzling live set to 6 Music ahead of the release of their forthcoming Best Of album Zoom and reissue of their magical debut album Fuzzy Logic.
6 Music Live showcases the music we love from artists whose passion and flair embodies our alternative spirit. Bands also performing live on the day include Pixies, Michael Kiwanuka, The Pretenders and Wild Beasts.
As well as being able to listen to the gigs on the radio, they'll be streamed live to watch on Red Button and iPlayer and as catch up afterwards.
Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Maida Vale, and now in its 5th year, the historic studios have seen the likes of De La Soul, Orbital, Paul Weller, Primal Scream, Bat For Lashes, Hot Chip, Suede, Richard Hawley, Foals, Goldfrapp, Sigur Ros, Paul McCartney, Manic Street Preachers, Johnny Marr, Underworld, James, Leftfield, Mercury Rev and New Order all perform.
There's also a bonus day on 10th October, celebrating more of the bands and artists we love - which you can watch online.
