The Don's selections cross time, space and genre and include Crucial Vinyl from Happy Mondays.

Each week, as well as blending his favourite new music with classics from the UK, USA, Jamaica, Africa and way beyond, Don highlights a piece of Crucial Vinyl - a cherished album from his own collection. He explains why it means so much to him, and features three key tracks. This week it's Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches, released by Happy Mondays in 1990.

Don says. "Released at the height of the whole Madchester thing to mixed reviews, at ground level this record was an immediate hit. It perfectly captured the whole sex, drugs and on the dole indie dance scene that the city basically ruled. Their couldn't-give-a-damn attitude delivered with tunes you could dance to made them the daddies of UK sound in the early nineties.".
