This week, Out for the Weekend is going all out for Christmas!

Starting the show with a bang the Aberdeen Rock Choir will be singing a selection of Christmas tunes throughout the show.

Fiona chats to Gillian Tait, author of 111 Places In Edinburgh Not To Miss, and she tells us about the places in the capital that we should all be paying a visit to.

Claire Jessiman will be in the Beechgrove carpark making a selection of festive treats. From mulled gin and ginger beer, to roasting chestnuts and what to leave out for Santa, we have you covered.

Kirsty Nutt from RSPB Scotland will be telling us all about what birds we should be looking out for over Christmas and what we should and shouldn't be feeding them.

Emily Esson went to find out more about The Stonehaven Fireballs from long term member Martin Sim. And she even got to try swinging a fireball herself!

Now, what better way to spend Christmas or the New Year then taking a dip in the sea? We hear from 3 brave folk in Shetland, Aberdeen and Edinburgh who all take the plunge in Nippy Dips around the country.

Magic is well and truly in the air in Edinburgh. We hear from Kevin Quantum, host of MagicFest Christmas, about the magical Christmas show that will leave all the family wondering "how did they do that!?"

And finally we look towards the new year with a roundup of the best places to spend Hogmanay. Neil Robertson will be taking us through his top picks.
