The Phone Call

A comedy of correspondence between a recently divorced woman and a recently imprisoned man. Through their letters, it seems like romance is blossoming.

Jenny is a 40 something adventure-seeking mum, forced to move back in with her parents in a posh suburb of Glasgow, after her marriage broke down (in no small part due to her lust for life...and the gardener!).

Gerry is a 40 something self-proclaimed scholar, and inmate of a prison on the other side of town. He's found a new friend (and perhaps more) in Jenny, and is looking forward to some female companionship to distract himself from life inside.

Romance is blossoming between Jenny and Gerry, who are both opening up to each other about their past lives. Stag do's and hen parties aren't quite the fun they used to be, as international crises are narrowly avoided in Poland and wedding plans might be cancelled after a confession about a wild night out in Soho.

Things are hotting up between the jail mates, but will they take their relationship to the next level?
