It's Film Day with a review of biopic Jackie

Critics Ian Hoey and Ross MacLean review new releases Jackie and Lion, plus Janice Forsyth hears about the Glasgow Film Festival, and M Night Shyamalen discusses Split.

It's film day: we'll discuss the much anticipated, Jackie -an intimate portrait of Jackie Kennedy before and following John F Kennedy's assassination.

Regular Critics, Ian Hoey & Ross MacLean will share their thoughts on the film and on this week's big cinema releases, including the uplifting drama, Lion in which Dev Patel plays a real-life figure separated from his family in central India at age five, and reunited with them a quarter-century later. It also stars Nicole Kidman and Rooney Mara.

They will also discuss the theatrical reissue of Goodfellas! More than 25 years after its style, authenticity and harrowing violence wowed, shocked and entertained audiences in equal measure, Martin Scorsese's classic gangster film returns to cinemas.

We'll hear more about the Programme for the 13th annual Glasgow Film Festival and director M. Night Shyamalen discuss latest thriller Split!

Later in the show, comedian, Mark Thomas will be on hand to tell us about his new tour for spring 2017 called 'The Red Shed' - A Topical Tale About The Miners' Strike and we'll hear from Peter Swanson - the author of the wildly popular 'The Kind Worth Killing' who returns with an electrifying and Hitchcockian psychological thriller-involving a young woman caught up in a web of voyeurism, betrayal, manipulation, and murder!

All that and much more, from two o'clock on Thursday, here on 主播大秀 Radio Scotland
