On today's Call You & Yours, Winifred Robinson is asking how living in the countryside affects the services you receive. New research suggests that essential transport, education, health and welfare services are patchy and diminishing in rural areas.

Whether it's seeing the GP, getting to school or college, arranging care for an elderly relative, going to the bank, or just shopping, the evidence suggests it's difficult and getting harder for people who live in the countryside. Mental health services are also generally more limited in rural areas, with fewer doctors, nurses and therapists per head of population.

What is it like for you and your family living in the countryside? Whether it's public or private services you need, how does living in a rural area affect you?
