Consumer champion Matt Allwright joins the ranks of Britain's housing officers on the front line in the battle between landlords and tenants.

Matt catches up with an old friend but discovers that although the state of his property has improved, his behaviour might inadvertently be putting his neighbours in danger. In Romford, housing officers, a tenant and his unfortunate neighbours discover what happens when a garden fire gets out of control. In Stroud, Matt gets suited and booted to investigate a flea-infested property. While in Suffolk, one tenant takes the law into his own hands when parking.
