In County Fermanagh stands a former workhouse that has been through many incarnations, although it is more famously known as a workhouse that saved thousands of lives. In the early 1920s, during The Troubles, it was used to house soldiers of the Royal Hampshire Regiment. But now the Ulster workhouse and Famine Trust are in a battle to save the historic building in the town.聽

Ballymena and Cullybackey have both been selected to compete in the Royal Horticultural Society鈥檚 Britain in Bloom UK Finals 2017, and they are delighted. They have been chosen for their outstanding commitment to the environment and community participation.

The Waterfoot Marine conservation zone is Ireland鈥檚 largest sea grass meadow in the Glens. Did you know they provide shelter and a habitat for small animals and reduce the impact of coastal storms? Anne Marie talks to Rebecca Hunter about their importance.聽

A place now where an ancient cemetery is currently undergoing a clean-up by a local women鈥檚 group. It is known to date back as far as the 4th century and was originally an interdenominational graveyard. At the time not many churches would have had a graveyard so everyone in the area was buried there.聽
