The second leg of Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith's journey around the North Coast 500 in an electric car.

The team set off from Castlehill harbour in Caithness. Nearby Castletown is frequently referred to as the Flagstone Village and Mark and Euan find out about the importance of quarrying to Caithness.

A search for a charging point in Scrabster takes them round the ferry terminal before continuing the journey to Bettyhill past the famous dome of the Dounreay Power Station.

Mark chats to retired teacher Jim Johnstone about Bettyhill and the beauty of the area as well as a strange myth about a black cat which stalks the area killing sheep.

The journey continues along the Kyle of Tongue around Loch Eriboll and onto Durness and the impressive Smoo Caves.

Then it's onto the island of Handa. An uninhabited island off the west coast of Sutherland famed for its bird life including guillemots, razorbills and great skuas.

And after travelling around the Assynt Peninsula the journey ends at the Knockan Crag Nature Reserve a few miles outside Ullapool.
