Consumer confidence in the car rental industry has taken a hit recently.
The UK European Consumer Centre says it's seen a 30% rise in complaints about car hire since last year. The most common three complaints are being charged for damage after returning the car, overpriced insurance to cover excess charges and fuel policies. We'll hear from the British Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association about how the system works and what's being done to improve it.

The Government plans to introduce new legislation to regulate the use of "logbook loans". These are loans secured against cars. If you take out a logbook loan and don't keep up the repayments, the lender can seize the car. The problem is that people have taken out loans, stopped paying and then sold cars on. Innocent buyers have had their cars repossessed. The changes will stop people from doing that. We'll hear from the Law Commission - the body that examines how laws work and recommends changes in England and Wales.

And around sixty percent of the pork produced in this country is from pigs kept indoors. Many live on deep straw, but around a third are on bare concrete or plastic slats. Both meet UK welfare standards and both command the same price from retailers and processors, but should they? We'll investigate.
