with Costello & Bunce

Mike Costello, Steve Bunce and Mark Chapman assess the legacy of the Rocky films on boxing and beyond. Featuring interviews with Chuck Wepner, Paulie Malignaggi and Lou DiBella.

Sylvester Stallone recently teased fight fans that Rocky will once again face his arch nemesis Ivan Drago on the big screen next year.

It was back in 1985 in Rocky IV where Stallone's character tried to avenge Apollo Creed, who died at the hands of Drago in the ring.

Originally recorded in 2011, Mike Costello, Steve Bunce and Mark Chapman revisit the Rocky series to find out how it came about and assess its influence on boxing and beyond.

Hear Chuck Wepner reveal how he became the unlikely inspiration for one of cinema's most iconic characters. Plus reflections from former WBA welterweight champion and Conor McGregor's sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi and promoter Lou DiBella.
