It was Ballycastle where Portstewart based author Bernie Magill began to plan the seeds of her second novel 'The Watch House’, a story inspired by Marconi's radio experiments over a 100 years ago on Rathlin Island.

Next week, the shores of Lough Neagh, over at Ballyronan will welcome an event called Lumarina. The aim of the event is to shine a light on the beauty of the lough, with the marina as a backdrop.

Devenish Island in County Fermanagh is home to one of Ireland's most famous monasteries, you get to it from Trory Jetty which is  not far from Enniskillen. Husband and wife Helen and Barry Flanagan run a water taxi to bring people across to the Sixth century settlement.

Portavogie is the easternmost settlement in Ireland - a village, townland and fishing port in the Ards district of County Down. The village is famous for its fishing fleet and there are fish auctions on the quays almost every evening and now it's the location of a Seafood Festival.

Just outside Cookstown at Tullyhogue Fort, Clan Chief Hugh O'Neil was inaugurated centuries ago. To celebrate, the Clans of Ulster are hosting a festival to commemorate the ancient tradition of ³¢Ãº²Ô²¹²õ²¹.
