Join Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith for the latest activities from Shetland to the Borders, plus the key stories for those who live and work in the countryside.

Mark visits Newton Farm near Forfar in Angus to find out how diversification has changed the way the Nicoll family run their business.

Dumfries House was saved by Prince Charles in 2007. Since then the estate has been opening up to the public and the water powered sawmill has become a Traditional Skills Centre. Mark has a tour and finds out what goes on there.

A soundscape with a difference, the sound of wind through a wire fence.

There are now several successful Beaver habitats across Scotland one of which is near Blairgowrie in Perth. Bob Smith runs nature tours and he took Mark out to see if they could spot any of the illusive creatures.

Disturbing news has emerged this week about a potential threat to our native population of salmon. Other salmon which have originated in the Pacific are arriving and trying to breed in Scottish waters. Euan finds out more.

Mark is in Dundee trying out the digital Scottish Greenspace Map which identifies accessible recreational and leisure greenspace across the country.

And another soundscape this week, the massed pipes and drums from the Ballater Highland Games.
