Student Special: Accommodation, Loans And The Cost Of Being A New Student

A level results week: Ursula Toner of Housing Rights is live in studio along with the Ulster University Students Union President, to look at the cost of being a new student

This weeks 'student special': In light of the recent A level results, pupils will now have an idea of what university they are going to and what course they will be studying...but do new students know the real cost of going to university? Ursula Toner of Housing Rights, along with the Ulster University Students Union President Kevin McStravick are live in studio to look at the cost of student accommodation, what student loans are available and how to manage these. If they've had a summer job, how much tax they have paid, and how much they could claim back. Kevin will also shed some light on life as a student.

An update on the Frampton fight situation: it has been confirmed this week that The Jackal will not be returning after all. Hopes of rescheduling the fight between Carl Frampton and Andres Gutierrez have come to nothing and the event has now been cancelled. The promoter has said "Tickets purchased online or over the phone with Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded within 3 - 7 working days" But what if you bought your ticket elsewhere? Gerry Hyland of the Belfast Consumer Advice Centre explained last week about rights around refunds and this can be heard on the On Your Behalf homepage.

Plus - Power of Attorney debate: following former senior judge Denzil Lush, who recently retired from the Court of Protection -stating this week that he wouldn't use a power of attorney himself, Brian Speers spokesperson for the Law Society NI is in studio.
