On the Llyn Peninsula, Ellie goes snorkelling to explore the rich seagrass habitat underwater. Steve meets the dairy farmers who produce and deliver their own milk.

Ellie and Steve are on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in north west Wales. Ellie goes snorkelling to explore the incredibly rich seagrass habitat beneath the waves. She then joins the conservationists netting fish as part of a marine survey. She also meets 19-year-old Urien Davies-Hughes, a third-generation boat builder who uses his grandfather's tools to build traditional Aberdaron beach boats. Steve meets the dairy farmers who not only produce their own milk, they deliver it too. So Steve's up with the young farmers delivering milk door to door. He also visits the farmers who've turned their hand to bespoke ice cream, and comes up with a brand new flavour of his own. Adam takes part in the harvest of an unusual fruit - the mulberry. And John is joined by fellow judges Simon King and Deborah Meaden to reveal the final 12 photographs in this year's Countryfile photographic competition.

The Llyn Peninsula isn鈥檛 just beautiful on land, beneath the waves is an underwater garden of Eden. Ellie helps the charity Project Seagrass as they monitor and measure some of the marine life that relies on the seagrass meadow at Porthdinllaen. Scientists Ben Jones and Richard Unsworth use a seine net to carry out survey work on the sea shore, introducing Ellie to some of the juvenile fish and crustaceans that most visitors to the beach wouldn鈥檛 get to see.

Steve Brown meets dairy farmers Sion and Nia Jones who took a big leap to save their family business. Frustrated at the low prices they were being paid for the milk from their 80 cows, they started processing and selling it themselves, direct from the stunning green hills in the heart of the Llyn Peninsula. Other farmers have helped them too - O'r Parlwr i'r Porch聽(From Parlour to Porch) are a group of young farmers who have brought a traditional milk cart round back to the peninsula, so Steve gives them a hand with their morning deliveries!

John Craven is joined by wildlife photographer Simon King and dragon, Deborah Meaden as together they take on the massive task of whittling down the entries to the final twelve.

Ellie gets a closer look at Porthdinllaen鈥檚 precious seagrass habitat, by taking a snorkelling tour with National Trust ranger Jake Davies. Jake grew up on the Llyn Peninsula helping his Dad lobster fishing. Now spends his time trying to protect the 28 acre meadow under the waves. But what will Ellie get to see, swimming amongst the dense sea grass?聽

Adam's at a Tiptree farm in Essex famed for its jam and it's harvest time. Adam gets to see the latest innovations in strawberry growing, but it's a lesser known fruit that really gets his interest, the mulberry. This delicate fruit has to be picked by hand and it's a messy job, but the juice they make from the mulberry more than makes up for it.

What鈥檚 a summer visit to the Llyn Peninsula without an ice-cream? Steve has a plan to bring together two entrepreneurial farming businesses. Hazel Gwilym is the only farmer in Wales growing aronia berries, a sour purple fruit native to North America. Annwen and Dylan Jones are dairy farmers who have branched out to create a rich dairy ice cream unique to the Llyn Peninsula. Steve will bring them together to make Wales鈥� first aronia berry ice-cream, but will it be any good?

Clinker Boats

For generations, the Llyn Peninsula鈥檚 fishermen have braved the famously fierce currents at Bardsey Island to bring in their catch, but they always tried to have fun whilst doing it. Ellie discovers the 150 year old history of racing traditional Aberdaron clinker boats across the bay, and speaks to champion sailor Dafydd Griffiths about his memories of watching the races 70 years ago. Ellie also helps 20 year old Urien Davies-Hughes as he restores one of the last remaining Aberdaron clinker boats using the same tools his great grandfather did.聽
