Rev Kate Bottley plays spiritually uplifting and inspiring music with hymns, gospel and choral classics, and marks the Christian festival of Michaelmas, also known as the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels. As 30th September is the 50th birthday of Radio 2, Kate will also be celebrating the history of The Sunday Hour on the network, by playing a clip from its predecessor, Sunday Half Hour (which started on The Light Programme) from 1967, as well as a couple of the same hymns that were in the first show on Radio 2, also broadcast on 1st October, in 1967.
