Dougie and Nick navigate multiple locks along the Forth and Clyde canal before coming to the end of their trip at the Kelpies.  Along the way Dougie finds out about the community owned bees that live beside the canal.

Then once they arrive at the kelpies Dougie and Nick use bees’ honey to cook up some very tasty sweet and sour duck.

Euan braves the open seas when he joins a scientific survey of herring stocks out in the Minch.  Herring fishing in the West of Scotland is currently banned, the survey aims to collect information about the size and age of the spawning population.

These days many farmers have to have second jobs but some are a bit more exciting than others! Anne meets John Mckenzie otherwise known as the ‘Flying Farmer’.  Not content with being a helicopter pilot and a farmer John has all sorts of other businesses on the go.
