主播大秀

The stage is set for 主播大秀 One Wales' major new series of monthly national debates, hosted by Catrin Nye. The programme will travel to locations across Wales, starting in Ebbw Vale. This ground-breaking new format puts people back at the centre of politics: in 60 minutes, 60 people will get a chance to explore a topic in depth and to hold the politicians to account.

This first programme tackles the subject of work. In Wales unemployment is actually going down - that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The economy is growing, and in some places business is booming. But that's not the whole story - while fewer people are looking for a job than they were a decade ago, the value of their pay has gone down in that time. And the nature of work is changing: many people are having to get used to temporary and part-time contracts. A job for life is a thing of the past.

We hear from a woman who never thought she and her family would need benefits to survive, and from people who think a lot of the change is for the better. We find out what the future might hold for workers in Wales. And in an exclusive poll, The Hour reveals what they are really thinking about it all.

Viewers are invited to connect with The Hour on social media, and reporter Steffan Powell is charged with bringing their voices to the programme. Glanaman-born Steffan, a reporter with 主播大秀 Radio 1's Newsbeat, encourages people to get involved before, during and after the show.
