Colum Arbuckle shares the life stories, experiences and ambitions of older people in Northern Ireland. His guests this week are Gertie Jameson and Andy Moore.
Colum Arbuckle's guests are Gertie Jameson and Andy Moore.
Gertie was born near the halfway house between Dromore and Banbridge. She had a long career as a nurse but she now travels around the country with the Dromore and District Male Voice Choir - she is their piano player.
Andy was 'to the manor born'. Quite literally. He was brought up in the splendid surrounding of Redburn House, owned by the Dunville family. But whereas the family were very definitely living upstairs he was downstairs in the laundry room.
