Joanna's choice is a historical novel set in 1912: The Gate of Angels by Penelope Fitzgerald. Sabrina's pick is The City Always Wins, a novel set in the aftermath of the Egyptian revolution by writer and filmmaker Omar Robert Hamilton. Harriett argues her case for Terms and Conditions by Ysenda Maxtone Graham, chronicling life in girls' boarding schools from 1939-1979.
