When the surgery ship Africa Mercy docks in Benin, West Africa, thousands of desperate people crush the screening line as Nate leads a team overwhelmed by saying "no" to so many, and "yes" to so few. We follow the stories of 35-year-old Julien, who has a disfiguring jaw tumour, cleft-lip baby Patricia and young Michel whose family is initially told he will die, as their lives are turned around by the volunteer Mercy Ships' doctors.
