Day 1, Part 1: Featuring Women's Triathlon and Swimming

The first medals are decided in both the women's and men's triathlon, plus swimming including the women's 400m individual medley. Wales and Scotland are in women's hockey action.

Live coverage from Gold Coast as the first medals of the 2018 Commonwealth Games are decided in the women's triathlon. Bermuda's two-time world champion Flora Duffy will be the favourite, but England's Olympic bronze medallist Vicky Holland and Wales team captain Non Stanford, who won the world title in 2013, will also be among the leading contenders.

The men's triathlon also takes place, featuring England's Brownlee brothers - Alistair is the two-time reigning Olympic champion while Jonny won bronze at London 2012 and then silver in Rio four years later. The siblings were also the first two home in Glasgow in 2014.

There will also be action from the pool, where Scotland's Hannah Miley is chasing a hat-trick of Commonwealth golds in the 400m individual medley. And the women's hockey tournament begins, with Wales facing India, followed by Scotland's clash with New Zealand.
