Stephen Sackur speaks to Tzipi Hotovely, Israel's deputy foreign minister, about the future of nuclear relations with Iran and how close the Middle East is to a major conflict.

Stephen Sackur speaks to Tzipi Hotovely, Israel's deputy foreign minister, about the American withdrawl from the Iranian nuclear deal. President Donald Trump has blown a superpower-sized hole in the international agreement designed to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions. In doing so the US has given up on carrot and stick diplomacy with Tehran, in favour of just stick. Despite the efforts of the other signatories to keep the deal alive, tension is rising ominously in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Iran. In light of these developments, they discuss the future of nuclear relations with Iran and how close the Middle East is to a major conflict.
