QUESTION OF THE DAY: Tourism Tax
Businesses in Edinburgh and the Highlands are branding proposals for a tourism tax as unwanted and potentially damaging. The Federation of Small Businesses surveyed a hundred and twenty four firms in Edinburgh. More than three quarters were against a tourism tax. Would it send out the wrong message to visitors or will it provide much needed revenue to prop up our tourist infrastructure?
