Rangers' latest signing Jon Flanagan is hoping his move to Ibrox will offer him a fresh start. The 25-year-old defender left Liverpool under a cloud after being convicted of assaulting his girlfriend. CCTV footage showed him hitting, pushing and kicking her in the street. Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister says that Flanagan "deserves a second change. He showed remorse, put his hand up and has taken his punishment. He wants to get on with his life and his football."聺
