Fight for Sight
Eye diseases and sight loss can affect anyone anywhere and can impact all aspects of life. Our research aims to address the most common eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease as well as stopping sight loss in children.
Two million too many
There are two million people in the UK currently affected by sight loss and this is set to double by 2050. Sight is the sense that we fear losing the most and yet there are still many eye diseases that we can鈥檛 prevent or treat. That鈥檚 why Fight for Sight supports pioneering eye research to create a future everyone can see.聽
Breaking the cycle of sight loss
Rosemary is nearly eighty years old and is living with advanced macular degeneration, also known as AMD. Rosemary has seen three generations of her family live with AMD, from her mother to her daughter.聽

The world class scientists and researchers funded by Fight for Sight are based at leading universities and hospitals right across the UK. Their pioneering research can unlock and develop new, life-changing treatments for people living with sight loss.
