It is the third leg of Charles Hanson and Margie Cooper's antiques adventure. This time they take their classic car for a cruise through Northumberland, and Tyne and Wear. Charles buys a straw pipe from the Napoleonic era, while Margie goes for a mysterious brass object - but it's a gamble as no-one knows what it actually is. Even a call to knowledgeable Paul Laidlaw draws a blank.

In a Gateshead pub Charles is advised how best to use a sword when dancing, and Margie appreciates unlikely works of art produced by coal miners in the 1930s. It's a busy auction in Burnley. Will anyone know what Margie's brass thing is? Can Charles's Qianlung-period dish attract big bids? And who will celebrate with a bottle of 1966 champagne?
