Stories

History of Goodwood
Kate meets some of the Christians at Goodwood Revival including the owners the Duke of Richmond and his mother Susan, Duchess of Richmond. The Duchess describes the Christian heart of Goodwood. Kate also meets chaplains the Revs Antony Feltham-White and Keith Morrison, who undertake chaplain duties formally and informally at the event.

Friends with Cars
Opera singer and Christian musician Jonathan Veira happened across a tiny parish church in Wiltshire and ended up offering to play the organ for a service there. It led to his friendship with one of the seven-strong congregation, Peter Ball. The two friends turn out to have a shared love of classic cars and enjoy rides in Peter’s rare 1934 Triumph Gloria. Peter and Jonathan describe how they’re united in friendship through cars and the Christian faith.

Blue Peter 60th Anniversary
On the 60th anniversary of children’s TV show Blue Peter, current presenter Radzi meets former presenters Tina Heath and Simon Thomas  - all of them Christians – to share stories from their time presenting the programme. Tina recalls the 1979 Cambodia Appeal, Simon describes his trip to the Solomon Islands, and Radzi shares how the annual Christmas nativity set allows him to express the reality of his faith.

The Car-drawing Clergyman
One of the exhibitors at Goodwood Revival, Aston Martin, has an artist in residence who also happens to be a clergyman. The Rev Adam Gompertz shares openly about his Christian work amongst classic car owners, and how a past mental breakdown has helped him rely on God to restore him to full health.
