Film review day, Neil Brand, Dinard Festival of British Film, Guinness World Records

It's film day and new releases The Wife, Black 47 and Skate Kitchen are up for review, plus composer Neil Brand talks about performing accompaniment to silent film.

Thursday is Film Day on The Afternoon Show and new releases The Wife, Black 47 and Skate Kitchen are reviewed by our film critics Ian Hoey and Ross Maclean.

We'll have a live report from the Dinard British Film Festival in Brittany- the only festival dedicated to British film. Our reporter Siobhan Synnot will be updating us on the festival news and gossip.

Grant talks to composer and broadcaster Neil Brand about playing live for The General, the 1926 silent movie and all time favourite starring Buster Keaton, part of the Hippodrome Silent Film Festival. Neil will be performing around screenings in Scotland this weekend.

And the Guinness World Records have been going since the 1950s; the latest book is out now and Grant will be talking to the editor in chief for the last 13 years, Dundee boy Craig Glenday.
