She鈥檇 never been to Scotland before but living and working in the hamlet of Kittleyknowe was to prove an inspiration. As well as painting the pastoral landscape she also painted her neighbour, Jenny Armstrong, a shepherdess. She tells Edi about her other subjects like Psychiatrist RD Laing, Prince Charles and the poet Kathleen Raine ..and her beloved son Ben, who died of oral cancer at the age of 22.
