Is it time to ban the cigarette break at work? Plus Tech Talk and fireworks.

Employees of Dundee City Council have been banned from smoking or vaping during the working day under a new anti-smoking strategy. Anyone caught flouting the new rules could face disciplinary action. The only time staff will be allowed to smoke will be on unpaid lunch breaks. The council say this is part of its policy to protect the health of employees and to reduce the number of adult 'role models' who can be seen smoking in public.

FIREWORKS
Ahead of fireworks night we have an update from the owner of Charlie the greyhound, Fiona MacFarlane, after her video of him shaking uncontrollably on the kitchen floor got worldwide attention. Paul Carey Glasgow Councillor for Drumchapel and Anniesland, is calling for a ban on fireworks being sold to the public. Mark Copeland is Director of Fireworx Scotland and Rennie is Whitelee Countryside Ranger.
