Film Review Day: The Old Man and the Gun, Sorry to Bother You and Tulip Fever

Thursday is film review day: Robert Redford's last ever film before retiring, The Old Man and the Gun, workplace comedy Sorry to Bother You and Tulip Fever, are up for review.

Thursday is film review day and this week Robert Redford's last ever film before retiring, The Old Man and the Gun, raucous workplace comedy Sorry to Bother You and the long- awaited Tulip Fever, starring Alicia Vikander and Judi Dench, are up for review by Paul Gallagher and Allan Hunter.

We celebrate 30 years of the Improverts, Edinburgh University's improvised comedy troupe, whose alumni include Mitch Benn, Jenny Colgan and Miles Jupp.

And since Christmas is coming in fast, we’ve decided to look at three different theatrical takes on A Christmas Carol. We’ll be hearing about the Citz’ version, as well as the RSNO’s take on the tale, which is coming to the Usher Hall. Plus we have an interview with Simon Callow, whose own production of a Christmas Carol will be broadcast in various cinemas around the country.
