Designing playparks, and watching the weather

Nicola Meighan learns about designing playparks, and a project which combines song and hiking.

Nicola Meighan hears about a new project that looks to combine the joy of singing with hiking up mountains.

She also gets a head for heights at the new Sky Maze at Dalkeith Country Park. And she chats to the man with the best job in the world – play park designer Stephen Vass!

An exhibition on art covering the background and community around shinty has launched in Inverness.

Lisa Wood says she is addicted to documenting the weather and takes photographs of the sky almost every day in the knowledge that she could soon lose her eyesight. Moira Hickey went along with Lisa on one of her daily weather watches.

The pianodrome is a 100 seater amphitheatre in Edinburgh made from over 50 up-cycled pianos, and now those pianos are looking for new homes.

With shops, social media and magazines pushing chocolates, roses and lingerie, maybe it’s something just a little bit different you’re after. Self-professed single gal about town, Josie Smith gives Nicola her choice of Valentines alternatives…

And have you ever fancied owning a bit of theatre history? Well The Tron theatre in Edinburgh is holding a Shop of the Props event this weekend.
