The perfect classical half hour

Exquisite chamber music from Rebecca Clarke, joyous bursts from Poulenc and Arnold, and a heavenly slice of Renaissance Polyphony, sprinkled with Stardust from Wynton Marsalis.

In Tune's specially curated playlist: an eclectic mix of music, taking you on a journey of contrasts, beginning with Baroque eloquence from Arcangelo Corelli, a haunting Spanish song by Manuel de Falla and a lively movement from Beethoven's first symphony. There is some ecstatic and joyous orchestral music from Poulenc and Malcolm Arnold, and ethereal, sublime moments are provided by Renaissance Portuguese composer Jo茫o Louren莽o Rebelo and the incomparable Rebecca Clarke. At the centre of the sequence is a lush, laid back arrangement of Hoagy Carmichael's classic "Stardust", performed with characteristically smooth swagger by the jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis.
