The ordinariness of addiction - does everyone have that gene or are some people just unlucky in life?

What makes us addicts? Is it genetic or is addiction caused by life's experiences?

When you think of an alcoholic does the image of someone lying in the street immediately spring to mind? And when you hear about drug abuse do you assume heroin, cocaine etc? Do you ever think the addict could be sitting beside you in work, worshipping beside you in church or maybe the addict is you and don't realise it?

Presenter Audrey Carville in conversation with the director of Addiction NI Alex Bunting, the psychologist and addiction expert Dr Stanton Peele, Majella Coyle from the Northlands addiction centre and GAA legend Oisin McConville who has acknowledged a gambling addiction in the past.
