In the north of Scotland, the judges see a converted steading in Boat of Garten, an eco-home in Findhorn and a restored castle near Tain. Only one can win through to the final.

In this new series, three property experts search the country on the hunt for Scotland’s Ö÷²¥´óÐã of the Year. They are architect and university teacher Michael Angus, renowned Glasgow-based interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones and globally recognised lifestyle blogger Kate Spiers.

This time, they are in the north of Scotland, to see a striking conversion near Boat of Garten. It was once dilapidated steadings but is now a stunning home with views over the Cairngorm National Park. They look at an ‘upside down’ eco-home in the spiritual community of Findhorn and a painstakingly restored 16th-century medieval castle, complete with secret passages, near Tain in Ross-shire.

The judges will score each of them out of ten for functionality, distinctiveness and clever design - but only one of them can win through to the final.
