Ugandan teen Jacob Kiplimo, who won silver at this year’s World Cross Country Championships, starts amongst the favourites for the men’s race in Manchester.

In the women’s contest, Ethiopa’s Genzebe Dibaba – the 1500m silver medallist at the 2016 Olympics – is likely to face stiff competition from Kenya’s Hellen Obiri, the reigning world and Commonwealth 5000m champion.
