Film Reviews and Children's Literature Centre

Film reviews, plus the Dumfries house and garden that inspired JM Barrie's Peter Pan. It has become the new National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling.

Thursday is, as ever, film review day and Ricky will be discussing Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Ma and Thunder Road alongside our regular expert reviewers.

Ricky meets the new artistic director of the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Elizabeth Newman, as she leaves behind the Bolton Octagon and the Southwark Playhouse and prepares for her first season.

Tomorrow, after ten years of fundraising and planning, the new National Centre for Children’s Literature and Storytelling will open in Dumfries, housed in the listed Georgian Townhouse that JM Barrie said was the inspiration for his story Peter Pan. Ricky will speak to the Centre’s Director Simon Davidson and we’ll get a sense of the beautifully regenerated and rejuvenated house and garden through a special feature from our reporter Bronwen Livingstone.
