Taking place at Rome鈥檚 Olympic Stadium, the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea plays host to a raft of stars, with Olympic gold medallist and 2015 world gold medallist Derek Drouin, from Canada, set to battle Olympic bronze medallist Bohdan Bondarenko in the high jump.
American sprinter Noah Lyles, 200m Diamond League champion in 2017 and 2018, is also taking part following a stellar 2018 campaign, in which he dipped under the 19.70 barrier four times. The junior world 100m champion is among the favourites for the senior world 200m title in Doha later this year.

Compatriot Michael Norman offers stiff competition having made headlines in the 400m on debut in California last year, clocking the fourth fastest time ever of 43.45.
