Dara O Briain hosts the ultimate test of cross-generational intelligence. In semi-finals week, the six remaining families battle it out to be crowned the winner.

The ultimate test of collective, cross-generational intelligence, hosted byÌýDara OÌýBriain. With new scientific research showing that our ability to work with othersÌýin solvingÌýproblems is a key feature of modern intelligence, eight of Britain’s smartest families pool their respective IQs and go head to head in the ultimate quiz that will push their minds – and family dynamics – to the limits.

In semi-finals week, the six remaining families battle it out to be crowned the ultimate winnerÌýof The Family Brain Games 2019, all under the watchful eyes of leading neuroscientist Dr Hannah Critchlow.

So far, the families haveÌýbeen victorious through theÌýintensely scrutinising heats, and nowÌýthey take onÌýtheir toughest set of challenges yet.ÌýThey each face a further five rounds of brain-teasing challenges, which have been created in association withÌýneuroscientist Dr Adam Hampshire from Imperial College, London, and are designed to test their individual and collective intelligence like never before.

Tonight is the first of the three semi-finals. Two of last week’s winning familiesÌýreturnÌýto the Games Lab to take on even tougher challenges, which test their vocabulary, reasoning, logic, 3D manipulation and communication skills. The competition concludes in the intense all-or-nothing round - Interrogation. Only one family can triumphÌý-Ìýwho will win the fight to the finish line?
