KD Lang, Snow Patrol and The Carpenters Story

The Legendary KD LANG is near the end of an epic two year tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of her seminal album Ingenue. Grant catches up with her from Amsterdam, ahead of her Scottish dates.
20th July sees the launch of the inaugural Largo Arts Week festival featuring Liz Lockhead, Rab Noakes, Hollie McNish and Phill Jupitus. Grant will be chatting to poet Hollie McNish and organiser and first time festival planner Nicola MacFarlane Young who tells Grant about planning a festival from scratch in a year.
Neil Mackenzie Matthews’ new book SNAP showcases his work as a musical photographer – taking in portraits of the Jam, Robert Smith of The Cure, Ian McCulloch of Echo and The Bunnymen, Madonna and Destiny’s Child. He’ll be telling Grant about how he establishes trust with such high profile subjects.
Acclaimed singer Claire Furley will be talking about her role as the lead singer in the Carpenters Story which is coming to Glasgow
We’ll also be hearing from director Lee Cronin and actress Seána Kerslake about the supernatural horror film THE HOLE IN THE GROUND which has just been released on DVD
