This weekend Rajan Datar鈥檚 in Hokkaido in Japan - looking at how, 150 years since the Japanese annexed the island, local indigenous culture has fused with traditions brought from the mainland. On his journey, Rajan meets the Ainu people for an introduction to hunting, flexes his muscles at a Mochi pounding contest, and puts his best foot forward for the island鈥檚 biggest international dance competition.
