Bangor, Moylarg and Cushendun

A boat in Bangor tackling plastic in the sea, the story of Moylarg's world class blind golfer and poet Moira O'Neill to be honoured with a blue plaque in Cushendun.

A former herring boat in Bangor called the 'Sea Bird' has been given a new lease of life fighting the scourge of plastics in the sea, Moylarg's world class blind golfer Drew Cochrane has written a book about his remarkable life travelling the world playing the sport and the Ulster History Circle are to honour poet Moira O'Neill by unveiling a blue plaque on the wall of Cushendun Old Church.
