Remembrance Sunday with Cathy Macdonald

Actress, director and writer, Gerda Stevenson, meets writer and poet Kapka Kassabova, to reflect on the power of remembering and the importance of our sharing cultural memories.

Nicola Nash, part of the Ministry Of Defence鈥檚 Joint Casualty & Compassionate Centre, tells Cathy what happens to unknown soldiers whose bodies are found in former battlefields.

Lynne Gladstone-Millar discovered the Dreghorn trenches, the very trenches that her father trained in before going to fight in the Battle of the Somme. She explains why it鈥檚 important for them to be preserved.

Marking Remembrance Sunday with Bulgarian-born poet and writer, Kapka Kassabova, and Scottish actress, director and writer, Gerda Stevenson. They share their thoughts on the power of remembering, the importance of sharing cultural memories and finding the right words to express them.

And Bob Dickson visits a Falkirk school where he catches up with Poppy Scotland鈥檚 touring exhibition, Poppy Bud. He hears what remembrance means to young pupils.
