Shawna Law, Kerry Godliman, Helen Sedgwick and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Comedian Kerry Godliman discusses her new show BOSH which hits the road in the spring.

Grant has a bit of a literary theme today: starting with self-proclaimed explorer and avid shutterbug, Shawna Law - the person behind Instagram account @ExploringEdinburgh. She has been out and about in the Capital with him; sharing her passion for some of her favourite locations in the City. Discoveries she has also shared on Instagram - in what originated as a fun project but developed into a major passion - and a realisation that Andrew Carnegie's words are absolutely true: 'There is no habitation of human beings in this world so fine in its way as this, the capital of Scotland.'

Grant also talks to comedian and actor Kerry Godliman about her new show BOSH, which hits the road in the spring. Kerry is back on tour after what she thought would be a little 'she' time. No chance. Her bosh-like nature will never let her rest. Well, that and a needy cat, a constantly disappointing camper van, and ever-raging feelings of mum guilt and bewilderment at the phasing-out of thimbles. All will be explained!

Author Helen Sedgwick will also be on hand to discuss her new thriller, WHEN THE DEAD COME CALLING; her first foray into crime fiction and it’s a gripping, atmospheric thriller with shades of the supernatural, set in a sleepy village on the English border where violence and misogyny lie just under the surface….

All that and our regular Book Group discussion this month on a classic title from another great writer – the legendary Robert Louis Stevenson!

His classic novella, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was first published on the 5th January 1886 - 134 years ago this week! - so we are re-visiting this epic, innovative thriller; as shocking now as when it was first published!
