Corby and Lee-on-Solent

The team create two gardens for grown-ups: in Corby, an outside pub-style bar, and in Lee-on-Solent, a sophisticated beach garden with crushed seashell gravel.

The team create two gardens for grown-up: an outside space with its very own pub-style bar and a sophisticated beach garden complete with gravel made from crushed seashells.

Keri and Mark from Corby met in a pub and love to share a relaxing drink when they are together. But Mark is a long-distance lorry driver, so they don’t get to share much time together. To make the most of their precious time, they have a plan - instead of trying to spend evenings going to the pub, they want to bring the pub – or at least the pub garden – to them! Can Charlie and the Rich brothers turn their boring and featureless back garden into a relaxing and tranquil social space built around a bar, where the couple can invite friends around and sit and drink on summer evenings?

150 miles away in Lee-on-Solent, Sheena and James have saved hard to raise £2,500 to create their dream garden. But despite being a gardening enthusiast, Sheena has run aground in her efforts to create a garden that is green and tree-filled but also a nod to the coastal area they live in. As well as being a green coastal space, it must also bring in the wildlife that James has so far failed to tempt into the garden, and it needs plenty of room for Sheena’s beloved washing line!
