The Information Commissioner's Office has published a new "Age Appropriate Design Code" to protect children online. It will prevent social media sites from profiling children and sending them content based on their browsing history. You & Yours speaks to Steve Wood, deputy commissioner at the ICO about how it will work in practice.

British Gas has apologised to pre-payment meter customers, after forcing them to change the way they pay their bills. At the end of last year, British Gas brought in a new company, Payzone, to provide and run the terminals customers use to top up cards for pre-payment meters. Many people have complained that they have been unable to find anywhere to top up, since the change took around 15,000 payment points out of the system.

Plus a small but growing number of people from the UK are sending their relatives with dementia overseas to Thailand for care. A research group at the University of Newcastle has visited Thailand and found more than half a dozen homes catering for British, American and other westerners. You & Yours speaks to one woman whose 81 year old mother-in-law is now being looked after at a home in Chiang Mai, which is owned by a British expat.
