Clare Grogan Karen Dunbar & The Paisley Book Festival

Foodie, Clare Grogan discusses her latest project - Corner Shop Cook-Off

Grant Stott talks to Clare Grogan about Corner Shop Cook-Off! Foodie Clare and ‘Masterchef: The Professionals’ winner Gary Maclean are out to prove that last-minute convenience shopping needn’t mean disappointing dinners in this new cook-off show. Every week the pair will visit a different part of Scotland – and a different corner shop – to meet the owners and scour their shelves for inspiration. Armed with a basketful of groceries and a head full of ideas, resident chef Gary then goes head-to-head with a different guest chef every week in the Corner Shop Cook Off kitchen.

Rising star, GREG AUSTIN will be discussing his role in the highly anticipated Amazon Prime series, HUNTERS. Also starring AL PACINO & LOGAN LERMAN and available on Amazon Prime Video from Friday, it’s about a diverse band of Nazi Hunters led by MEYER OFFERMAN (that’s AL PACINO) living in 1977 New York City who discover hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S.

Grant will also talk to actor Polly Frame about her role in Frantic Assembly’s I Think We Are Alone which is playing at the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh - a funny yet bittersweet tale about the human ache to connect, and the letting go and holding on to what we love the most....

And Scottish comedy legend Karen Dunbar will be on hand to discuss her role as Lady Bracknell in the upcoming Perth Theatre production of The Importance of Being Earnest!

All that and Paisley’s inaugural Book Festival which will take inspiration from the 200th anniversary of the Paisley Radicals as it reflects their spirit with a programme of grassroots activism, new ideas and political conversation.
