Mothering Sunday

To celebrate Mothering Sunday, Katherine Jenkins visits the Mothers鈥 Union in Worthing, and Pam Rhodes talks to Katie Piper and her mum Diane about their faith.

To celebrate Mothering Sunday, Katherine Jenkins joins members of the Mothers鈥 Union at Worthing Hospital to hear about their work providing emergency maternity bags for new mums, and she finds out about the history of this Christian organisation with four million members worldwide. Pam Rhodes meets inspirational mother and daughter Diane and Katie Piper to hear how Katie鈥檚 faith helped her to recover from life-threatening injuries following an acid attack in 2008. Twelve-year-old Romeo from London explains why he was inspired to write a book about his mum, Juliet, and her battle with cancer, and there are hymns and songs from around the country.

Worthing Hospital

Katherine joins in dropping off the emergency maternity bags at the hospital, and meets the Mothers鈥 Union team who run the Ministry of Cake, 听giving cake and support to hospital staff and families.听 She hears from one young mother who suffered the terrible loss of her son at 20 weeks but found comfort in the little bag she鈥檇 been given with the simple message 鈥淲ith love from Mothers鈥 Union鈥.
