After months of hard-fought competition, it is time for the Great British Menu banquet. The winning chefs cook their courses in celebration of nearly 200 years of British children鈥檚 literature.

With nearly 100 mouths to feed, the guest list reads like a who鈥檚 who of children鈥檚 literary talent - Jacqueline Wilson, Cressida Cowell and Anthony Horowitz are all there, not to mention Greg James, Francesca Simon and Charlie Higson. They, and a host of other leading children's authors and illustrators, join aspiring young writers and, of course, Susan Calman and the Great British Menu judges, to enjoy the imaginative, fantastical dishes created by the creme de la creme of British cooking talent.
